Zateplené pětiprsťáky / You have to move it, move it (or Fivefingers Flow)

Funguje to?

There couldn't be better conditions for testing new Vibram fivefingers Flow - raining/snowing, quite windy and cold (2°C). I've bought this model to be able to run outside in fivefingers even there is a nasty weather. When I tried to run in my Bikila model in such weather my feet were really very cold and I felt uncomfortable and afraid that I could get ill. The Flow model has a neoprene upper for thermal insulation. Does it really work?

Perfect weather conditions...

Of course there was a nice almost sunny weather at the morning. At the moment the garage doors has closed and I have started to drive the weather has changed. It started to rain... But the car (the battery and the exhaust pipe especially) appreciates the longer rides so I had to go longer than back to the garage :) And well I wanted to test shoes for the usage in a bad weather so that has been what I wanted in fact, hasn't it?
We (Johari, Fifa and me) hit the road in an unpleasant cold wind and rain that has been getting stronger and stronger during the whole time we have been out. It started to snow a little bit at the end of our trip. We have been walking and jogging alternately. My feet have been cold again for the first twenty minutes and it hurt a little bit (because they have been almost frozen again) however I have had the same problem with my hands even I have had the gloves. Then we have started to jog more and I have begun to warm up a little bit. My hand and feet begun to defrost after a few minutes and I have started to feel quite comfortable! Even there have been puddles it has been okay - the water has been changing inside the shoes however because of the neoprene and my warm feet I have been comfortable for the rest of the time.

When we had got home (in an hour) my feet have been of course totaly wet and a little bit cold however there has been no displeasing feeling nor the worry that I would get ill. In another words - I have colder feet sometimes at home without any reason.
So the result of my first testing is that the neoperene works and works great. The only condition to feel good is that you have to move it, move it! You have to get your feet warm and then there is no problem - like with any other non-waterproof shoes.

Changing the wet shoes for the dry ones to drive home.
